EASIEST WAY TO EDIT JAVA APPS ON JAVA PHONES: THE POWER OF MINI COMMANDER

Sometimes when we download .jar files, we want to edit the application manifest like changing the application name, inserting some sort of codes and all those kinda things. But the problem is I've watched so many people suffer, going through long processes just because they want to edit the"MANIFEST.MF" file of the application(s). Processes like extracting all the internal files (that's after they might have renamed the raw _jar file to .zip) using "BlueFTP", then close "BlueFTP", then open "Class Editor", now searches for the "MANIFEST.MF" file where they might have extracted it, then opening the file, editing the file, after then close "Class Editor" and re-open "BlueFTP" again to compress the files back into _jar format... I mean why should you go through such long processes when you could just do everything with "Mini Commander"? Yes, I meant everything.

If it were to be a system, you could just easily drag the "MANIFEST.MF" file from the .zip archive to notepad, edit the file and then drag back into the zip archive. But we are talking about java phones here. So I'm going to teach you simple steps on how to edit your .zip archives with Mini Commander (without even having to extract any file).

STEP 1: This step should be known by now by everyone who modifys applications. Which is, renaming the raw _jar file into .zip. (Don't know how to do that? Check other topics in my blog)

STEP 2: - Open your "Mini Commander"
- Press the "Right Soft Key" to show "Menu"
- From the "Menu" select "Options"
- From "Options" select "File Types"
- In "File Types" you'll see three editable categories: "Zip", "Text" and "Videos"
- Select "Text" and then add "mf"
- Save and then open the .zip file you want to edit all the way into "MANIFEST.MF" file.

And there you go. Just begin to add and/or edit whatever you want to change in the "MANIFEST.MF" file.

NOTE: Once you begin to edit the file, if you press the "Center" button to stop editing, it won't stop. It will take you back into the editor window. So if you want to scroll up/down to edit more texts, just press and hold the "Center" key and then scroll simultaneously with "up/down/left/right" direction keys. And if you want to save, press and hold the "Center Key" and then press the "LSK (Left Soft Key)" to display a pop-up confirmation "Yes" or "No" to save. But release the "Center Key" first before you click "Yes". And be careful so as not to corrupt the file
